How to Use Resist Techniques in Your Art

Tune in to Arts For Life’s Virtual Studio! Today, Annie teaches you how to use different resist techniques in your art. A resist is something, like tape or wax, that an artist uses to cover parts of a surface with drawings, patterns, or words. When an artist puts color on the surface, the color sticks to everywhere except for the places where the resists has been.

You’ll need:

  • Drawing Paper
  • Crayons
  • Painters Tape
  • Scissors
  • Watercolors, Brushes, and Water Cup OR Markers

If you want to show us what you made today, please tag us #artsforlifenc.
